The Sri Lanka project is progressing smoothly and has achieved preliminary results

Dec 13, 2023

The delegation from Canada Solar Valley Green Hydrogen Group Co., Ltd. and its parent company, Canada Sunny Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd., visited Sri Lanka from November 3 to 28, 2023, to explore opportunities for collaboration in building Molten Salt Concentrated Thermal Solar Power Plants and Green HydroPower Plants. Under the reception of State Minister Arundika Fernando and other Sri Lankan ministers, both sides reached an agreement to construct solar thermal power stations, photovoltaic power stations, and integrated green hydrogen and methanol bases with a total capacity of 100MW-200MW in the northern, eastern, and southern regions of Sri Lanka. The project is expected to generate 880 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and produce 80,000 tons of hydrogen per year. It is anticipated to create up to 1500 jobs during its construction and operational phases. Our company plans to invest approximately USD 1.25 billion in this project, which aims to leverage solar energy and green technologies to foster a zero-carbon new energy system, significantly enhancing environmental sustainability and aiding Sri Lanka in achieving a clean new energy structural reform.

Welcome Minister of Urban Development and Housing of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Canada for official visit

Feb 22, 2024

We are pleased to welcome the Honorable Arundika Fernando, Minister of Urban Development and Housing of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, to Canada for an official visit. He visited the Canada Sunny Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd. and the Solar Valley Green Hydrogen Energy Group Co., Ltd. where he greatly praised our company's new technological pathway and our advancements in green hydrogen storage and transportation. The discussions focused on the vision of Sri Lanka to achieve energy independence through renewable energy sources. The Honourable Arundika Fernando looks forward to the world's cleanest, most eco-friendly, safest, and most efficient method of generating green hydrogen through the electrolysis of seawater using solar power to establish a safe, efficient, and clean energy system for hydrogen-based power generation in Sri Lanka. This could potentially create the world's first large-scale green hydrogen power plant. In addition, the same energy pathway will be used in the renewable production of ammonia and methanol from green hydrogen to replace fossil fuels. In the evening, some of our senior leaders in Canada had a friendly discussion with the delegation led by Minister Honourable Arundika Fernando about the specifics of implementing four major projects in Sri Lanka.
